The objective of the Association is to raise funds for the 3 following purposes: 

1. to defray funeral expenses resulting from the death of a member or any of the members’ registered dependents.    
2. to defray hospitalisation expenses when a member or a member’s spouse is hospitalised.
3. to provide Study Awards to member’s children.

The 3 abovementioned goals are in line with the Association’s aim to extend financial aid to members. The first 2 goals aim to alleviate the financial burdens of members who are faced with emotionally and financially challenging situations. 

We understand the adversities of such situations, thus as a fellow officer united in empathy, we aim to improve the quality of life and welfare of our officers. 

The third goal of the Association is congruent with the Association’s belief that education is a key to the future of our children, thus excellence in academic studies is a driven through the Merit Awards. Families in financial need may also apply for the Incentive Awards, which ensures the inclusivity for students who require more academic motivation. This ensures equal access to all students regardless of financial circumstances and that students would be motivated to excel in their studies, by rewarding outstanding educational achievements, as well as to spur progress 

In conclusion, the Association throughout the years has relentlessly been helping members in need during their moments of grief, in addition to providing financial support to members’ children in the Study Awards. As a self-help organisation, the association has been commendably providing support to members since its inception in 1965.
